**Job Title - **Rents/Sales Assistant

**Division - **Rents Department

**Location - **Bygone Times Trading Ltd, PR7 5TZ

**Reporting to - **General Manager / Sales & Marketing Manager

**Hours - **3 fixed days a week (days can be discussed), 09.00-17.00

7.5 hours a day / 22.5 hours a week

**Permanent / Temporary / Fixed Term - **Temporary Maternity cover

The role is maternity cover starting in April 2023, until approximately April 2024. Full training will be provided by the Sales & Marketing Manager before the maternity leave commences (approximately June 2023). There is potential for the role to be made permanent beyond the temporary period, but this cannot be guaranteed.

**Salary** - National Minimum Wage

**Role Overview**

We are Bygone Times, the UK’s largest antiques and collectables centre with over 500 stalls across six floors, including our successful café. We are 85,000 sq. ft of unique shopping which is open 7 days a week from 09:30 am - 5:00 pm and sit in the village of Eccleston, Chorley and have been open to the public for over 35 years. **Key Duties & Responsibilities**
- Welcome and greet customers in a polite and professional way
- Consistently represent the business is a positive way
- Follow all company policies and procedures
- Liaise with all other internal departments (sales, site services & catering) and head office
- Work alongside the General Manager to ensure optimum levels of tenancy
- Schedule and conduct new stallholder sign up meetings
- Create and prepare tenancy documentation & licence agreements
- Manage & update multiple excel spreadsheets, integral to the business

**Qualifications & Experience Required**
- Must have excellent organisational skills, managing your own work diary & schedule. Must be punctual & organise/lead customer appointments.
- Must have good computer skills and have basic Excel skills, being able to work easily with spreadsheets. Excel experience is preferred.
- Must have good numeracy skills and be able to deal with a large volume of sensitive numbers precisely.
- Must be able to use initiative, be self-motivating, and be able to work independently.
- Must be friendly, helpful, confident, and have an engaging personality.

**Job Type**: Temporary contract
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: Up to £9.50 per hour
