I am looking for a qualified and experienced SHEQ advisor to join a company manufacturing medical equipment based in Stone, Staffordshire.

The job role of a SHEQ advisor may involve the following duties:

- Ensuring health and safety, environmental and quality standards are met onsite
- Investigating accidents and writing reports
- Identifying potential hazards
- Completing risk assessments and site inspections
- Suggesting improvements to working processes
- Ensuring staff understand safety procedures
- Checking equipment is safe
- Compiling statistics for reports and presentations
- Monitoring environmental impacts
- Developing and reviewing safety policies and procedures
- Advising and training staff on best working practices
- Liaising with inspectors and trade unions
- Regular health and safety meetings with Managers and minutes of all meetings are taken and distributed to all parties
- Carry out internal audits and identify non-conformances or opportunities for improvement
- Undertake root cause analysis and carry out corrective and preventative actions
- Supporting the implementation of new standards for the site
- Supporting third-party audits for certifications

**Skills and qualifications required**:
Experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment is essential
- Experience working with laboratory equipment desirable
- Experience with ISO9001 - Quality Management
- Experience with ISO45001 - Health and Safety Management
- Experience with ISO14001 - Environmental management
- Trained internal auditor (lead auditor would be a benefit)
- NEBOSH certified
- First Aid trained
- Experience of Fire Safety and associated regulations and procedures
- Able to work in a multi-disciplined team
- Improvement driven
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong IT skills in a variety of systems and packages
- Quick learner and excellent problem solver
- Able to interact with people at all levels within/external to the site
- Able to travel to different sites when required
- Confident to deliver training and presentations
- Able to prioritise and meet deadlines
