Role Summary/Purpose
A vacancy exists within the processing department for someone whose principal role will involve the surface treatment of Aerospace components.
The preparation of components for surface treatment processing/ painting, to include cleaning, masking and wiring / jigging. Particular attention is required to avoid damage to components during the processing operation.
Surface treatment of components is to be in line with company and customer process specifications and includes conducting in process control checks.
Company procedures are required to be followed and records maintained of the treatment process.
All operations to be carried out in line with specific process specifications whilst adhering to strict health and safety guidelines including the wearing of all specified PPE.
This role will also require flexibility to cover all other TSO requirements which will include but not limited to Deburr and Assembly.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Preferred Aerospace experience.
- Have a high level of manual dexterity and good hand to eye coordination.
- Have a high attention to detail
- Have a methodical approach to work
- Be competent in reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Be able to understand and work to process specifications
- Be capable of inspecting and certifying own work
- Be able to maintain records and documentation
- Show flexibility with regard to working hours including working overtime where required
- Have a positive attitude towards Health and safety
- Be able to work both independently and part of a team
