Join us as a Compliance Lead
- We’ll look to you to support the Head of Regulatory Affairs in leading regulatory compliance and conduct insight, oversight and challenge on the adoption of Consumer Duty within RBSI
- You’ll be providing expert support, advice, MI and escalation to leaders and the business on risk management
- This is an opportunity to gain exposure as you work with relevant risk, finance and first line of defence reporting teams
- We're offering this role for a period of 9 months

**What you'll do**:
As a Compliance Lead, you’ll be supporting executives in making sure that the business strategy for the relevant business units is consistent with and supports an effective regulatory framework with regards to Consumer Duty. You’ll also be supporting executives on regulatory engagement in relation to relevant matters relating to customer franchises.

On top of this, you’ll be:

- Establishing common compliance risk language, definitions and tolerance levels through the risk directory
- Identifying reporting requirements and developing dashboard and critical key risk indicators
- Providing ongoing and periodic reporting to senior management, the board, regulators and Internal Audit
- Establishing a compliance risk communication plan and frequency for critical messaging
- Establishing formal communications protocols to escalate identified regulatory compliance risk issues to responsible parties
- Identifying and documenting critical technology platforms that are leveraged by compliance
- We're offering this role for a period of 9 months

**The skills you'll need**:
To succeed in this role, you’ll need experience at a manager level in a financial services risk role where there has been regular interaction with senior decision makers. In addition, you’ll need proven experience in preparing insightful analysis and managing risk related reporting processes for senior executive and board committees.

You’ll also demonstrate:

- Knowledge of the external environment, including economic, regulatory and legal practices, trends and expected developments and how these changes may impact on enterprise risk management
- Experience of making risk decisions within a control framework, which requires analysis, judgement and initiative, while thinking strategically about future direction
- A comprehensive understanding of appropriate tools, techniques and methodologies used to measure and report on risk
- Good knowledge of various risk disciplines, such as compliance, operational, governance and conduct, and how these impact on business performance
- Strong communication and influencing skills, and the ability to interact with senior stakeholders
