**Full UK Driving Licence required for this role**

To manage the administrative support for Reading’s Streetscene Services commercial activity, responding to enquiries, making appointments, checking that programmed work have been undertaken, invoicing, maintaining customer information, and providing customers, and operational officers with accurate information.

**About the role**

Responsible for the growth of the commercial services, financial profitability, cost control, legislative compliance, customer satisfaction and adherence to companies' policies and procedures and ensuring that these responsibilities are managed, organised, and carried out throughout these contracts.

To provide support to the Neighbourhood Services team, primarily by managing and

responding to commercial enquiries, orders, customer feedback.
- To communicate with customers to advise on provision of the service.
- To be target driven and provide accurate financial information when requested, manage

the invoicing and accounting of the service to ensure income is monitored, and debts are received.
- To work as part of the Neighbourhood team responsible for commercial activities,

providing effective support to officers and customers, ensuring that information taken,

provided and stored is accurate.

- To provide coordination between operational teams and to ensure that quality and

consistency are provided across the service.

**About you**

This is an outdoor job so we’ll need you to be happy in the fresh air. It’s really important that you’re able to work well as part of a team, taking real pride in a job well done.
- Excellent communication and customer care skills, which include a proven ability and understanding of communication at all levels. The postholder must communicate (in spoken or written form) clearly and effectively with customers, staff and managers.
- Ability to deal effectively with complaints and difficult situations in a diplomatic but assertive manner.
- Experience of working in a customer service based or commercial environment, dealing with customers or clients face to face and over the telephone, in a courteous and confident manner.
- Experience in managing customer accounts and monitoring debts.
- You will need to hold a full UK driving licence
- Experience of outdoor manual working
- Experience of using a range of powered machinery
