**Job description**

At Football Futures, in order for our players to fully develop and progress within the football game, we must provide coaches that are experienced and qualified to a high level. This is paramount to help every individual player progress on their football journey.

Each Football Futures coach must not only be able to demonstrate and teach every technique shown, but must share the Football Futures passion and philosophy set out. We have established some of the best coaches in the county, who have a wide range of knowledge and experience in then professional game.

We set down that each coach creates a professional environment for the players, making each session as high intensity as possible, giving them the tools to support their passion of becoming a professional footballer.

**Salary**: £20,000 - £24,000

Role: Post-16 Scholarship Lead Coach, Academy Lead Coach & Schools Coach

**Key Responsibility**: Lead in the planning, delivering and reviewing in line with the Football Futures philosophy. Ensure high standards of coaching delivery to support all players and abilities. To evaluate and provide feedback on all coaching sessions and matches to head coach. To attend staff meetings and CPD training as required and if needed.

**Further responsibility**: To be familiar with the standards of our players across all Academy centres. To maintain the company ethos and culture within the company. Be familiar with our Safeguarding policies regarding vulnerable children and adults. To work closely and feedback with the Football Futures Director on all relevant issues that arise.

**Location**: Requirement to travel between these locations means that it is preferable for the applicant to have their own car and UK driving license. Canterbury District (covering areas such as Whitstable, Herne Bay, Canterbury, Thanet)

**Hours**: 35 per week, Monday - Friday. Some Saturday mornings (2 hours max) are required on quieter weeks of the year

**Coaching qualifications**: Level 2 in football coaching (essential), UEFA B Licence coach (desirable)

**Ability Skills & Knowledge**:

- Able to build a strong rapport with the players in the age range.
- Able to work as part of a coaching team and the ability to motivate others.
- Understanding implications of long term player development and how to develop young players.
- Excellent organisation and time management skills. Motivated and driven individual who is committed and passionate for the game.
- A dynamic, confident communicator whilst able to adapt style and approach as and when required.

**Role description**:

- Ability to coach across a range of sessions and settings, including:

- After schools clubs, Academy evening centres, Lead P.E sessions, 1-1 and Small Group sessions Lead Coach.
- Lead Coach on our Academy Centres, delivering sessions to various age groups following the Football Futures structure & syllabus.
- Lead Coach on our Whitstable Town FC Academy Scholarship Programme. Delivering daily training to our U19 full time players following the Academy structure and syllabus.
- Lead Coach & manage squad on our Whitstable Town FC ( Post 16 Scholarship Programme ) for 16 - 19 year olds.

**Essential requirements**:

- Up to date DBS check
- Level 2 in Football coaching (essential), UEFA B Licence coach (desirable)
- Experience of coaching sessions for young children of various ages & ability levels
- Up to date safeguarding and first aid qualification (Football Futures will fund the renewal of such training if yours is coming to an end)
- Full driving license and access to a driving vehicle
