ABP are seeking a motivated and experienced Billing Administrator to join our team part time in Hull. As a billing administrator, you will work closely with the Billing and Collections Supervisor to process billing activities within Port Business Services.

The Billing Administrator within PBS will be responsible for the billing processes across ABP for the following areas: Customer, Property and Utilities.

**Contract** - 18 Months Fixed Term

**Hours** - Part Time 22.5 hours per week

This role is critical for ensuring that revenue is fully recognised and fully accounted for. The main accountabilities are:

- Creation and of ABP invoices and credit notes
- Ensuring accurate coding in relation to charges raised
- Analysis and resolution of billing related queries generated by both internal and external customers.
- To become proficient in the use of ABP’s existing systems including Pavis and Optima
- Support the Terminal admin support.
- Collate information from terminals in order to produce an accurate invoice

**Accountabilities**
- Deliver a right first time service
- Processing credit notes and completing credit note analysis to identify and resolve root causes
- Escalate billing queries in a timely manner to the billing and collections manager where required
- Produce timely and accurate customer invoices
- Accurately process and record statistical information in compliance with statutory requirements
- Assist with the transition of the billing activities in to PBS

**Skills, experiences, qualifications, and competencies**

**Essential**
- Advanced Excel skills
- GCSE Maths and English

**Skills**
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and team working skills
- Planning, organising and time management
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to forge strong working relationships with a diverse set of colleagues

**Experience**
- 2-3 years’ experience in a billing or general accounting role
- Experience of working in a service culture environment or in a high volume transactional environment

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 18 months
Part-time hours: 22.5 per week

**Salary**: £13,000.00-£14,750.00 per year

Supplemental pay types:

- Yearly bonus

**Experience**:

- Billing: 2 years (required)
- Microsoft Excel: 2 years (required)
- Accounting: 1 year (preferred)
