As a Domestic/ Kitchen Assistant the purpose of your post will be to:
To support staff in day to day domestic tasks
To help the chef wash up after meals
To help the chef prepare foods when necessary
To help the chef maintain cleanliness in the kitchen
To ensure all the laundry is completed daily
To help staff clean up after meal times
To help keep the staff room tidy
To monitor toilet cleanliness throughout the day
To support management in covering the kitchen when the chef is absent
To regularly sanitise touch points throughout the Nursery
To help keep the staff room tidy
To monitor stock and report to management any order needs (including sorting deliveries)
To keep the hallway, landing and any communal areas clean & tidy
To follow the nursery safeguarding procedure to ensure all children are kept safe, well and secure
Engage in good team working
To be flexible within working practices of the nursery. Be prepared to help where needed.
Work alongside the Manager and staff team to ensure that the nursery’s philosophy is fulfilled
To use own initiative and ask the manager where support is needed
The role will be Monday
- Friday from 9am
**Current salary**: £11.25 per hour (£21,937.50 per annum)
(Salary will increase in April 2024)
**Additional information**: The nursery is within walking distance to many transport links including tram, railway and buses. Package includes annual leave allowance of up to 25 days plus bank holidays.

Designated Safeguarding Lead
We have named persons within the nursery who take lead responsibility for safeguarding and
co-ordinate child protection and welfare issues, known as the Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSL), there is always at least one designated person on duty during the opening hours of the setting.
