Active Living Support Worker and Standby Minibus

A rare opportunity to join us at Crossroads Gloucestershire as an Active Living Support Worker and Standby Minibus Driver.
**You will need to hold a D1 Category on a valid UK Driving Licence and be available for the times and days below as these are the times of our Active Living Groups.**
**Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays - 09:00 until 16:30. You will also need to be available one Saturday a month.**
The Minibus driver will collect our clients from their homes, with the support of an escort, taking them to the venue of the Activity. Your role as support worker will be to assist those clients to participate in their chosen activity. You may also help with assisting clients to the bathroom and other general care needs.
As Standby Minibus Driver, you will step in to drive the minibus when the Minibus Driver is on holiday, or at other times, as necessary.
Examples of where we go on the Active Living Groups are:
Shopping Outlets, Garden Centres, Pub Lunches, Skittles located in or around the Forest of Dean, Ross, Gloucester Area.

**Responsibilities includes**:
- Support with personal hygiene
- Medication
- Support with mobility
- Driving and maintaining the Mini-Bus when required, which includes refuelling and keeping it clean and tidy
**Skills and Experience**:
- You should possess good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Trustworthy and reliable
- A passion for helping others and willingness to learn
- No experience necessary full training will be provided
**A full UK Driving licence and access to own vehicle is essential for this role**
