PCE Ltd is seeking an enthusiastic, ambitious, and hardworking Project Planner with good knowledge of best practice ASTA Powerproject software.

You will be working closely with the Project Manager on-site and will assume responsibility for the reporting on the off-site design for manufacture and assembly (DfMA) and on-site construction of eight hybrid structures at our site in Full Sutton, York.

**Summary**

Contract: Full Time, Fixed Term Contract until December 2023, with the potential opportunity for a permanent contract

**Location**

Whilst predominantly based at our site in Full Sutton the role holder may be required to work from our Head Office and various other sites at times and therefore may be required to work away from home on occasion.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Basic Construction requirements including but not limited to**:

- Understands the Build Process, including inter-phasing of works with the ability to identify sequence and/or dependencies of works and estimated durations including any time risk and resources.
- Understands any access or space requirements and can identify external interfaces to the logic network.
- Working experience in interpreting drawings and specifications, together with take-off and calculating Quantities/Tonnages/Volumes would be a benefit.
- Able to identify any key resources to carry out the work, plant, access, labour, and approvals and to identify safety concerns when creating a plan.

**Programme Development and Control**
- Able to maintain project programmes with the experience of managing projects throughout their reporting life cycles including the mitigation of any slippages, with the knowledge of best practice planning techniques.
- Maintain the baseline contract programme, covering all aspects of design, procurement, construction and handover. All elements are to be fully logic linked and have a critical path.
- Maintain the construction (target) programme highlighting areas of improvement against the contract programme.
- Prepare tender programmes for the procurement of subcontractors incorporating design release and lead-in activities.
- Maintain electronic files and administration of planning and programme documents to facilitate retrieval as required. Utilising the common data environment (CDE).
- Provide all programme information as required to support the management team.
- Use the construction programme to assist in the production of project prelim schedules including, but not limited to, staff resource, logistics and temporary works requirements.
- To review risks and opportunities for every programme produced and highlight potential mitigation measures in the programme. Including float and time risk allowances.

**Reporting, progress and as-built information**
- Maintain tracking schedules as required to maintain information and control the production of programmes.
- To keep an as-built programme, highlighting where the programme has deviated from the baseline programme.
- Input to change requests as required to advise on programme impacts for approval and instructions as necessary to facilitate the works.
- Produce validated output rates with appropriate clarifications to track live progress on projects, as well as feedback to the pre-construction department to inform new tenders.

**REQUIREMENTS
**Essential requirements for the Project Planner role**:

- Successful track record of working with clients, contractors and other stakeholders on live construction projects.
- Experience working within a team.
- Extensive knowledge of UK legal framework, in particular contract management.
- Humble, Hungry, Honest and Smart personality traits
- Effective communication
- Front line mentality
- Relevant Degree or diploma
- Certification for use of planning and programme software
- Asta Powerproject Training Progress Analysis & S-curve reporting.
- People Management and strong leadership skills
- Contract awareness Understanding NEC4 form of contract
- Basic BIM training and understanding of the common data environment.

**Desirable requirements for the role**:

- Ideally a construction background with experience in insitu/precast concrete/offsit
