Main purpose

To work as part of the Rail team to assist with the successful delivery of allocated contracts, ensuring that all works are planned to be undertaken safely and in accordance with XEIAD Policies and Procedures

Responsabilities
- Support Assistant Planners and Planners on a day-to-day basis.
- Work towards achieving Personal Track Safety and Safe System of Work Planner Sentinel Competence’s
- Gain an understanding and develop knowledge of the rail infrastructure and rail planning standard NR/L2/OHS/019
- Undertake site visits when required to enhance and develop knowledge of the planning process and rail infrastructure
- Assist with maintaining the log of Safe Work Packs, monitor the return of SWPs, archive electronic copies of all returned packs
- Attend the weekly internal route planning meetings to build and develop working relationships with colleagues and key stakeholder roles within the planning process.
- Assist with the creation of safety critical documentation in line with railway group standards

Qualifications, skills & Abilities
- IT Literate (Microsoft Office)
- Maths and English 5* GCSE and Above
- Be a self-starter, able to take responsibility and work with minimum supervision, at times under pressure
- Working within a team and having confidenace to take the lead and also follow instructions
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work within a team environment with a dedicated approach to meeting project deadline
- Enthusiasm and self-motivation to drive for continuous improvement
- A “can do” attitude willing to learn and progress to become a competent planner on a very busy reactive contract
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Time management

- Have excellent organisational skills; be able to multitask and re-prioritise to meet changing needs and deadlines

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From £25,320.00 per year
