A newly created role working for this global provider of specialty insurance and reinsurance products.

The Company currently writes lines of business including; specialty insurance: aviation & aerospace, energy, marine, property, credit & political risk, and other specialty; reinsurance: property reinsurance, property retrocession, specialty reinsurance,whole account/multi-class.

**Role purpose**

Reporting to the Head of UK Compliance, the role represents an exciting opportunity to become involved in all aspect of Compliance teams’ group-wide activities and to support the Head of UK Compliance in the management of the Compliance team.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

Your responsibilities for this role may include, but are not limited to, supporting the Compliance team in relation to:

- Dealing with licensing queries and alerts from the business.
- Dealing with sanctions queries
- Taking the lead on planning and completing ad-hoc projects.
- Undertaking the annual review of policies, procedures and guidance documents.
- Reviewing regulatory and commercial developments and providing updates to the team and manage associated regulatory change requirements.
- Supporting the completion of the Compliance Plan.

**Essential skills, knowledge and experience**
- Compliance experience in the London Insurance market, knowledge of sanction regimes and international licensing is essential
- Strong written and spoken communication skills to enable communication at all levels.
- Strong analytical, research and reporting skills.
- Ability to handle a varied workload and competing priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Willingness to work extended hours as required.
- A team player with strong interest in the performance of the business as a whole.
- Commercially savvy, bright, energetic and positive with a 'can do’ attitude.
