We are now looking for a Rent Sustainment Advisor to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis working 37 hours per week.

The Role

As a Rent Sustainment Advisor, you will oversee and maximise the collection of rental income within your territory and work with tenants to reduce rent arrears.

Proactively managing affordability expectations throughout the tenancy, you will conduct affordability assessments before tenancies are signed and support customers to clear arrears.

Building effective relationships with external agencies, including the Department of Work and Pensions, Citizens Advice and local Councils, you will help to resolve benefit and debt issues to support our customer’s tenancies.

**Additionally, you will**:

- Where necessary, take possession action
- Identify and report customer safeguarding or fraud concerns
- Build an up-to-date knowledge of all relevant laws and policies

About You

**To be considered as Rent Sustainment Advisor, you will need**:

- Experience of working in a customer-facing role
- The ability to communicate effectively on the phone, in writing and in person
- Excellent customer service skills
- Good numeracy skills
- Excellent project management and organisation skills
- Confident using IT, ideally MS Office to intermediate level
