**Job Summary**

Our Health, Safety & Environmental Manager will support and enable the business to;
- Prioritise and drive the health, safety, wellbeing and environment agenda across the business, challenging the norm and striving for excellence.
- Engage and support the business to create, promote and deliver a zero-harm culture, partnering and influencing leaders to do the same; and
- To provide expert and proactive advice and guidance to support and enable the business to manage and deliver its operations safely, with wellbeing in mind and in support of environmental impact reductions.

**Accountabilities and Responsibilities**
- Proactively support strategic planning and manage delivery of the ongoing health, safety and environmental programme of works and improvement projects.
- Maintain, review and develop the HS&E management system (including policies, procedures and tools in line with ISO45001 and ISO14001) ensuring it is fit for purpose, effective, communicated and enable understanding.
- Work in collaboration with the Integrated Management System Lead (Operational Audit Manager) on the communication, coordination, and management review of HS&E Management systems.
- Ensure engagement and performance in our health and safety culture is monitored, reviewed, and learning opportunities identified and realised.
- Through coaching, support and influence, enable leaders and area H&S Champions to deliver compliance with business to effectively manage HS&E risks and opportunities.
- Communicate and engage with Senior Leaders, inspiring and driving the HSE agenda.
- Lead, manage and coach the HS&E advisor team.
- Provision of high-quality, unbiased and proactive advice and guidance on HSE matters to ensure compliance and the proactive management of risks and opportunities.
- Undertake assurance assessments (inspections and audits) independently and in conjunction with leaders and Internal Audit team to monitor SHE related compliance.
- Maintain and develop HS&E competency framework, enabling and supporting its implementation. This includes the development and delivery of related internal training packages and guidance.
- Enable leaders to ensure hazards, incidents and accidents are recorded, investigated, and recommend action plans established and implemented. Carry out investigations etc as and when necessary.
- Maintain and develop HS&E Key performance indicators and summary reports, analysing data and providing insights and trends including external HS&E reporting.
- Take a proactive role in relevant health, safety and environment forums, committees and working groups.
- Act as the link with regards to Health and Safety with Belron Group, sharing learning opportunities (2 way).
- Working with the Internal operational audit function support external assurance assessments such as ISO45001 audits, EcoVadis, ESOS and corporate customer assessments

**Skills, Experience and Qualifications**
- Proven experience and at least 3 years' experience in a similar role.
- Formal Health and Safety Qualification (E.g., NEBOSH Diploma and hold professional membership e.g. IOSH
- Strong technical knowledge across relevant, health, safety and environmental legislation, compliance, regulations and risk management.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, great with people and able to build relationships.
- Able to work collaboratively with stakeholders being proactive in problem solving and decision making.
- Ability to review and analyse information quickly and be proactive and decisive.
