Housing Choice Officer

4x Housing Choice Officer's required
- Hybrid (Officers will need to attend offices in person for at least 4 days over the first 2 weeks. After this officers are expected to be able to produce work.)
- £20.25 per hour PAYE
- £25.28 per hour UMBRELLA
- Duration: 6 months
- Officers will only be considered if you have a minimum of 24 months experience
- Northgate experience is desirable

HPAS (Homeless Prevention & Advice Service) is seeking a number of experienced Housing Advisors to work on a large backlog of cases.

Working as a Housing Choice Officer, key duties would include providing advice and guidance in line with housing regulations and legislation.

Provide a comprehensive, proactive and responsible housing advice and options service in order to prevent homelessness wherever possible, maximising housing options for those at risk of homelessness and those seeking alternative accommodation

This role is only suitable for experienced Housing Advisors fluent in Part VII Housing Act 1996 as amended by Homelessness Reduction Act 2017.

We are looking for officers who treat residents with respect and dignity whilst also able to reach prompt and reasonable decisions.

Many cases will be more than 12 months old.

Expected project duration is 6 months for those consistently producing results.
