We are looking for someone to support the Flexible Space team and be responsible for managing the quarterly planning and delivery of flexible space across the Food Commercial division, using data, customer insights and strategic priorities to support space allocation. You’ll have the opportunity to work on cross-functional projects that seek to implement strategic change, working with teams as diverse as trading, marketing, retail, and convenience. Whether it’s household essentials or a treat that’ll brighten their day, you’ll help our customers to identify Sainsbury’s as a great source of value while adhering to the most up to date legislation such as HFSS.

**As a Flexible Space Planner you’ll**:
Lead the quarterly planning and allocation of Food flexible space to support key customer propositions and effectively communicate with trading teams to confirm space.

Work closely with other teams, including events, trading, and marketing to create a joined-up plan for the quarter, especially during key events such as Christmas.

Seek out creative solutions to support space planning post-HFSS legislation landing when specific space in store will be restricted.

Be responsible for strategy, planning and delivery of Front of Store space to ensure we are supporting the key messages in store at any given time.

Support the Flexible Space Planning Manager in managing the overall Flexible Space plan for both Supermarkets and Convenience stores to align with corporate strategy, whilst balancing commercial return, operational execution, and supplier requirements.

Support key strategic projects to step on customer value perception through resetting Sainsbury’s value propositions and phasing our promotional plan to give customers regular new promotions.

Work closely with wider commercial operations team (Display Planning, Space, Formats etc.) to drive continuous processes improvements and determine most effective use of space.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholder groups.

Project management knowledge or experience would be beneficial.
