**The Role**

The Logistics Coordinator is crucial for smooth logistics operations, managing administrative tasks, transport arrangements, and subcontractor communication. Responsibilities include providing necessary documentation to subcontractors, resolving paperwork issues promptly, updating production on subcontractor movements, and managing the release and archiving of subcontractor returns. The role also involves maintaining internal systems, optimizing subcontractor transports for cost savings, overseeing dispatch plans, coordinating raw material transports, and facilitating revert metal dispatches to overseas suppliers. The Coordinator must make business decisions independently, adhere to HSE and HR policies, and assist with Goods Inwards and other duties as needed.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Raise and supply relevant documentation to subcontractor operations.
- Address any issues arising at subcontractors due to paperwork promptly.
- Update production daily on all subcontractor movements.
- Release and archive all subcontractor returns in a timely manner.
- Ensure all internal systems are kept up to date and maintained for all subcontractor operations.
- Book all subcontractor transports, liaising with subcontractors to maximize loads and cost savings.
- Follow and maintain thermal and x-ray dispatch plans.
- Book in raw material transports and communicate with stores operator.
- Coordinate revert metal dispatches to overseas.
- Maintain effective communication with suppliers.

**Qualifications**:

- Strong IT skills (Microsoft 365 Products)
- Qualification in business administration (but not essential)
- Good communication skills
- Customs trained or basic understanding with training to be provided

**Experience**:

- Good understanding of logístical movements of goods being shipped and delivered to and received from suppliers.
- 3+ years' experience working in a logistics, goods receiving environment in a manufacturing organisation.
