These roles provide a fantastic opportunity for you to build key foundations and shape the narrative, that will provide AXA the exposure and scope required for growth.

Join us as a Technical Underwriter, Property and Casualty Schemes, where you'll be taking responsibility and driving clarity on our P&C Schemes performance, making it easy for our partners in profitable areas. Working as part of the Schemes hub teams, you'll be responsible for the profitability, income and regulatory compliance, and ownership of the financial results for allocated delegated authorities (DA's) through a delegated authority model.

**What you'll be doing**:

- Deliver top line and profit for allocated DA's.
- Focus on referrals by achieving agreed service levels on referrals in support of above.
- Build and develop relationships with the DA's, especially with the relevant trading and client servicing teams.
- Support and build the internal underwriting network.
- Own, drive and undertake the underwriting result for allocated DA's.
- Driving profitability by being clear on performance against agreed loss model (attrition, large loss and cat), monitoring and engaging the DA on rate and driving and implementing any required Profit Improvement Plan (PIP).
- Undertake the Portfolio approach to underwriting.

- Progress towards CII qualification preferred.
- Strong technical underwriting skills and knowledge of risk assessment and risk management.
- Trading capability, commercial awareness, negotiation skills and ability to build strong DA relationships.
- Understanding of Property and Casualty insurance market and processes, including legislative and regulatory requirements.
- Pragmatic and confident decision maker with proven experience in decision making in technical underwriting scenarios within a commercial environment.
- Good analytical and numerical reasoning skills.

As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
