You would be based with our friendly maternity team in our antenatal clinic/diabetic clinic at St Peter's Hospital. This post is a Monday - Friday post.

Administration experience, would be beneficial but not essential as full training regarding the role will be provided. You will need to be computer literate to succeed in this role.

Although this is a fundamentally a clerical post, there will be interaction with patients, especially via telephone communication. Whilst NHS experience is not essential, experience of working with hospital systems, or similar systems outside of the NHS, would be beneficial.

It is also envisaged, that this post will develop and there will be opportunities to help submit data to the quality & safety team, contribute to internal and external reports required and to attend meetings.

The post holder will have overall responsibility to provide efficient and effective failsafe processes for antenatal & new born screening pathway, immunisations, maternal diabetic pathway and our Tommy's clinical decision tool.
- ensuring that all administrative duties are performed efficiently
- Daily review of databases to confirm completion of all screening tests / identify any missing results
- Collation of data for national reporting, audit and any other reports as required by the ANNB screening coordinator
- Support the leads in producing local and national reports for the Trust
- Collate and submit maternity and neonatal immunisation data
- Provide a comprehensive and quality administration service to the designated department managing and prioritising workload, liaising closely with the other administration staff and management in the Department
- Organise and coordinate ANNB Screening meetings including provision of agenda, minute taking, and providing appropriate documentation for action/review
- Provide written correspondence with regard to results outcomes, to the patient, General Practitioner and other stakeholders
- Provide empathetic verbal support for patients / carers via face-to-face contact and over the phone.

Failsafe Process/Failsafe checks should be a ‘closed loop’ process. This requires effective monitoring at the time the required activity is commended and the point at which it is concluded. This should be recorded through a systematic processes using digital systems. The process should ensure that all opened loops have been closed within an appropriate timescale and all escalations carried out as appropriate.
