Front of House Team Leader

**LINE MANAGER**

FOH Team Leader reports to the Front of House Manager

**JOB ROLE**

To provide an effective and efficient, friendly service to members, their guests and visitors to the club in the bar, restaurant, merchandise shop, functions and our Club accommodation

1.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure that members, their guests and visitors are greeted promptly and politely, are compliant with the Club’s Dress Code and all guests/visitors are signed into the Visitors Book in the Main Bar
- Ensure you understand the Clubs Dress code for STAFF and for MEMBERS/GUESTS/VISITORS
- Ensure the Clubhouse is opened and closed correctly, in line with Club’s standard operating procedures
- Ensure you have carried out the necessary alcohol licence training under the Licence (Scotland) 2005 Act
- Ensure full knowledge of all areas of the Clubhouse incl. Fire Exits
- Ensure full knowledge of Clubs Emergency Procedures
- Be aware and compliant of the general, overall care and maintenance of all items belonging to the Club and report any damages/faults/breakages in the Fault Book.
- Reporting any uncomplete work in the Fault Book to Line Manager
- Participate in any training relating to Health & Hygiene, Chemical, Fire Safety, First Aid, Manual Handling and Basic Food Hygiene, as set by the Club
- Assist in the basic training as set by senior members of staff
- Checking the completion of the daily and weekly cleaning/task check lists, as set by the Club
- Be aware and compliant of the general housekeeping rules in all areas of the club as per the Staff Handbook
- Ensure all cash handled at the end of the day is given to your line manager or locked in the safe at the end of a shift.
- Conduct weekly and monthly defibrillator checks as per Staff Handbook
- Develop good product knowledge, assisted by continuous training

MAIN BAR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure tables are being cleared of un-used/finished glassware and crockery regularly
- Ensure the bar is stocked appropriately for each service/function
- Ensure you are rotating all bar stock in the cellars appropriately and promptly report any stock that is/going out of date, to your line manager
- Carry out the weekly cleaning of the beer pipes/lines as directed by senior staff (See Staff Handbook)
- Ensure you are communicating with the kitchen with regards to lunch specials, soup of the day etc (Daily Task Sheet)
- Assist in the administration of daily cash reconciliation and inputting stock onto the system
- Assist in performing stock checks/counts and writing up stock orders to be approved by senior members of staff

RESTAURANT RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure you are following the standard operating procedure for services in the restaurant
- Ensure you are communicating effectively with the bar and kitchen during restaurant services
- Ensure the restaurant is fully ready at least 15 minutes before each service
- Ensure all restocking, cleaning and re-setting is complete after each service
- Assist in the administration of the Restaurant Booking system
- Lead the service in the absence of senior members of staff

COCKTAIL BAR & FUNCTION SUITE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure you are complying with the General Housekeeping standards relating to these areas

SHOP & MERCHANDISE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Selling and promoting our merchandise
- Help prepare internet orders
- Ensure that all sold items are promptly replenished
- Create barcode labels and ensure all items are labelled correctly
- Assist in stock checks of all merchandise
- Ensure you are complying with the General Housekeeping Standards

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 12-25 per week

**Salary**: £11.00 per hour
