Rainbow Fostering Services is a family owned fostering agency, we aim is to help vulnerable children and young people make the best of their lives. Many children have suffered different forms of abuse and this can set them back. Their behaviour can be challenging, but we provide support and training to deal with this. This means our amazing foster carers really do transform young lives. Children, perhaps for the first time, can feel hope and not despair.

Rainbow Fostering Services are looking for a finance assisstant to support the finance manager in day to day bookkeeping.
- Input/raise sales invoices/credit notes and reconcile sales ledger monthly
- Account for all other transactions through the bank i.e. Supplier payments, direct debits, training, Rates, Telephone, gas & electricity bills & upload documents on Xero.
- Reconcile all bank accounts monthly
- Reconcile credit card account
- It would be beneficial if used XERO Accounting Package.
- Children’s savings need to be calculated, checked, logged and sent via Bank Transfer.
- Account for all transactions made by credit card reconcile these accounts monthly & upload receipts.
- Ensure all foster carers payments are made on time
- Ensure that all invoices are filed in an orderly manner for easy reference
- Deal with any queries as and when they arise
- Chase all debtors and report any old debts to the Director
- Prepare staff salary Spreadsheet on monthly basis
- Pay HMRC PAYE payments on monthly basis
- To keep accurate and detailed records in accordance with the agency policy on Health and Social E care

Accurate Invoicing to be prepared & sent on Health & Social Ecare
- To liaise with Duty & Recruitment Teams, supervising social workers and carry out tasks as requested by the Finance Manager and Director
- To participate in the planning and development of the agency and contribute to the improvement of standards and quality assurance
- To participate in supervision with the Finance Manager/ Director
- To comply fully with the agency policies and procedures
- To secure and maintain positive relationships with all services users.
- Participates in annual performance reviews and work with Auditors.

It is the nature of work of Rainbow Fostering Services that tasks and responsibilities are, in many circumstances, unpredictable and varied. All staff is therefore expected to work in a flexible way when the occasion arises where tasks are not specifically covered in the Job Description must be undertaken.
