**Purpose of Statement**:
Reporting to the EHS Manager the EHS Specialist is responsible for coordinating all activities required to ensure that the installation of our systems on sites is carried out in compliance with all current regulations and in line with all our clients’ requirements on various sites across the UK. This role will require a regular on-site presence alongside an element of home-based work.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Carry out site audits around UK.
- Provides focus direction, and technical expertise for the development of proactive EHS plans that are consistent with the overall divisions vision and values across our contract division construction sites
- Provide communication and training for site personnel and contractors that will ensure all levels understand their roles and functions for identifying and resolving EHSQ issues.
- Participates actively in investigation of EHSQ incidents and accidents including all RIDDOR accidents on sites.
- Maintain and improve EHSQ systems.
- Drive and embed robust preventative corrective actions in response to any customer complaints, environmental incidents and accident reports.
- Experience of compliance management systems.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Strong exposure to liaising with members of other departments at all levels to resolve any Environmental, Health, Safety and Quality issues creating a partnership working environment both internally and with key customers.
- Demonstrated lead with the ability to drive actions through data and KPI’s.
- Structured, self-motivated, and passionate about all aspects of environmental, health, safety and quality.
- Result oriented individual who is comfortable dealing with cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with internal and external authorities.
- Willingness to travel around UK.
- NEBOSH Construction and Environmental Certification.
- IOSH Membership at Technical level or higher.
- IOSH Managing safely Certification.
- Experience in the use of the BRE “Yellow Jacket” system.
- Experience in External EHSQ auditing systems such as Achilles Building with Confidence and online auditing platforms such as ConstructionLine, Chas, Safe Contractor and Work Safe Contractor.
