We are looking for a skilled **senior carer** to join our Team situated in Cherrys Road, Barnsley, S71 5QU. The home has friendly team which provides premium care for the residents.

**As the Carer in charge, you will be responsible for**:

- Writing good comprehensive care plans
- Supporting the activities of daily living in a person-centred manner.
- Dispense medication to residents if needed
- Promote physical and personal independence as well as choice in all daily activities.
- To change beds, tidy rooms and do light cleaning.
- To promote and support the personal care and independence of customers in the care home, in line with a personal care plan.

Your role may include supervisory responsibilities as part of your regular daily duties.

**Applicant shall**:

- Be reliable, dependable and committed to make a difference in our care home
- Relevant qualification in health care and relevant work experience
- Previous experience in a Care Home setting is essential.
- Have responsibility for front line supervision and monitoring of care workers and care assistants.
- Oversee a shift of staff and take responsibility for the smooth running of the service whilst they are on duty
- Respond to emergencies and provide guidance and support to care workers
- Be friendly and Patient Orientated.
- Have some experience leading a team and supervising others
- Have excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
