We are looking for a Clinical Team Pathway Administrator to provide support to our Sarcoma medical and clinical oncology teams, ensuring a high-quality administrative support service.

The individual will be responsible for patient pathways from referral registration to clinic management and provide administrative support to their clinical teams. They will provide a single point of contact in communication with patients, relatives and GPs and other external hospital staff / tertiary referrers. They will frequently liaise with a range of staff internally across the Trust and with partner and external NHS Trusts as some of the daily duties.

They will also be expected to provide cross cover with the other Clinical Team Coordinators/PAs during times of leave and heavy workload commitment, ensuring that the service provided meets the needs of senior departmental staff at all times.

Previous PA/coordination experience is essential as well as good verbal and written communication skills and experience of working in a health care setting.

The Clinical Team Co-ordinator/PA is responsible for the following functions:
- Supervising a team of Administrative staff to deliver high quality administrative and project support services to the Division
- Providing a point of contact between the multi-disciplinary teams and their colleagues, patients, relatives and GPs
- Be responsible for all correspondence for their multi-disciplinary clinical team(s), in connection with both inpatient and outpatient treatment
- Acting as a source of advice and support for troubleshooting non-routine matters or resolving initial complaints.
- Supporting the clinical and administrative teams to provide a positive patient experience;
- Supporting and providing cross cover for all administrative areas across the Division when required so that all areas are sufficiently staffed to provide a consistently high level of patient satisfaction.
- Assisting the Administration Manager with the analysis of team performance information and delivering targets
- Assisting the Administration Manager with monitoring quality control measures and service improvement initiatives.
- Assisting the Administration Manager with the management and monitoring of outpatient access targets and being proactive in managing initiatives to create capacity in order that targets are met.
- Embedding good working practices and supporting the clinical and administrative teams to provide a positive patient experience.

Cancer is a strategic priority for UCLH, working as part of London Cancer Integrated Cancer System. Each year UCL Hospitals diagnose and treat about 3,000 new cancer patients and refer another 1,700 new patients for radiotherapy. The hospitals provide treatment for patients from all over South East England and work with other hospitals across London Cancer, including Great Ormond Street children's hospital. Cancer services is a major feature of the UCH building, with haematology and oncology inpatient services occupying most of the top three floors, and radiotherapy services located in the basement. The UCH Macmillan Cancer Centre opened in April 2012 and all cancer services outpatient and day care activity has moved into this state of the art new building. The new building is one element of the strategic partnership between UCLH and leading cancer charity Macmillan, and is a catalyst for the division to redefine the way that we treat, care for and support cancer patients. The post-holder will be expected to engage with various members of clinical staff within the organisation and also with external agencies. Clinical staff will range from GP's, Junior Doctors, Consultants, Professors, Nursing and Clinical Leads/Directors.
