**Senior Specification Writer job now available with an award-winning, employee-owned architectural practice. This position is offering £50,000 - £65,000, hybrid working, and an extensive list of other benefits**

Our client is looking to expand their team and is looking for a Senior Specification Writer/Manager to join at an Associate level to contribute to the delivery of an exciting range of large-scale conservation projects across a range of sectors, including public buildings, education, cultural, commercial, and high-end residential projects.

This position is being offered on a full-time, permanent basis with hybrid working options.

**Role & Responsibilities**
- Coordinate architectural specifications with contract conditions/Preliminaries and specifications prepared by other disciplines
- Advise on material usage
- Advise on design responsibility issues and how the form of contract and procurement route affects the specification format/deliverables
- Prepare architectural specifications that reflect detailed project requirements
- Attend internal and external meetings to obtain project briefing information and provide service as necessary to prepare project-specific documentation
- Carry out projects in line with QA/QC and health and safety requirements
- Work collaboratively with colleagues on multiple projects in the concept and delivery stages.

**Required Skills & Experience**
- Degree qualified in Architecture or Architectural Technology is preferred with a minimum of 10 years of architectural design and delivery experience in the UK
- Knowledge and understanding of UK Construction procurement methodologies and how these relate to Specification Documentation
- Familiar with researching, preparing, and presenting technical presentations
- Ability to understand and work to an agreed scope and project budget
- Good understanding of the design and delivery process
- Good technical knowledge of modern construction techniques, methodologies and standards
- Evidence of good technical design understanding
- Good understanding of BIM.
