To take full responsibility for your team in terms of Supervision of staff
- Accountability for meeting quality, production and delivery targets.
- Ensure the smooth running of the production processes
- Monitor, measure and report on warehousing and/or production related process performance and general issues
- Managing receiving, shipping, distribution and supplies of products within your area
- Ensure all products are manufactured and shipped to the customer in a timely manner adhering to delivery schedules.
- Hold Daily Human Performance & Production meetings with the team
- Attend Daily Production meetings with management and departments
- Communicate all delays or variances in movement of product to all appropriate parties.
- Maintain strict control over product levels and process to meet internal and external demands
- Plan layout and space requirements to prevent loss or damage of products
- Consider full implications of product turnover, size, weight, and other factors when allocating and planning space
- Identify discrepancies and act and resolve
- Investigate causes of lost or damaged products or shipments
- Implement and monitor performance metrics
- Take lead with annual stock take
- When required monitor and manage custom shipping documentation
- Ability to communicate in a professional manner both verbally and written
- To enforce quality and Health and Safety rules
- Identify Problems and take fast effective action to resolve
- To work closely with others to ensure production handovers are effective
- Maintain housekeeping standards
- To have an active role in the company’s continuous improvement plan
- Maintaining high level of timekeeping
- Liaise with Planning, Operation Co-ordinator and other leaders to ensure daily requirements are met
- Provide cover for all operations when necessary
- Manage all departments during overtime
- May be required to be hands on operative occasionally
- Responsible for departmental T&A
- Control indirect ordering and spending
- Management and control of overtime and reporting to senior management relevant information
- To coach, train, retain and motivate staff within a team based and inclusive culture.
- To conduct performance reviews twice a year and assist with training and evaluating employees on a regular basis
- Recording all training and qualifications completed for employees
- Accountable for ensuring that employees behaviour meets or exceeds the company’s expectations
- To ensure that the training requirements are met to meet current and future demands of the department
- Conduct disciplinaries and return to work interviews on time
- To provide regular feedback to your team and m aintain a culture that develops professional two-way feedback on a regular basis
- Any other reasonable requests by management

**Training & Education
- A-C GCSE Level or equivalent in English and Maths;
- Health & Safety Training.
- Level 3 Leadership Qualification or relevant experience
- First Aid
- Fire Marshal
- Level 5 Management

**Experience
- Knowledge of heavy manufacturing industry equipment;
- Experience of leading teams
- Working under pressure of company demands
- Extrusion, CNC lathe/milling, Saws,

**Skills & Knowledge
- Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements relating to manufacturing machinery;
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships
- Good time management and organisational skills.
- IT proficiency with the ability to input and retrieve data
- Proven knowledge of Inspection procedures & standards;
- Experience of supervising a multi
- cultural workforce
- Experience of resolving people management issues
