**Portfolio Cost Management Lead - Warwick (hybrid working)**

As our Portfolio Cost Management Lead, you will help design & implement the portfolio level Cost Management discipline in line with the Portfolio Controls framework, aligning with the National Grid Electricity Transmission (NGET) BMS for the Strategic Infrastructure (SI) portfolio to enable consistent, transparent and accurate cost information, and support the delivery of the ASTI Portfolio to time, budget and scope in line with agreed governance and reporting structure.

**What you'll be getting up to**:

- Establish and support the implementation of Cost Control & Management processes performed across the SI portfolio
- Support the development of Cost Systems and Reports capable of delivering the project & portfolio objectives
- Engage with a diverse range of external and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment of portfolio objectives and cost control measures.
- Support Onshore & offshore PMO to provide guidance and direction to project cost managers to ensure quality and consistency and working with Portfolio Performance Reporting Manager to support cost reporting activities.
- Conduct/Support Level 2 assurance reviews in line with process definition documents in the BMS.
- Provision of on-going training for the portfolio team as needed to manage capability assessment and development of cost management capability within the portfolio.

**About You**:

- Experience in Cost Management or Control for large-scale infrastructure projects, with specific expertise in regulated industries and preferably renewable energy projects.
- Knowledge of UK infrastructure project development stages, including consenting, design development and land.
- Proven track record in managing complex programs in a regulated environment.
- Working knowledge of;
- Cost engineering and earned value management systems eg. Ecosys
- Financial management systems eg. SAP
- Spreadsheets eg. MS Excel
- Proven leadership, analytical, and communication skills, and ability to work in complex matrix environments
- Strong understanding of project and cost management principles.
