**Speech & Language Therapist - Start September - Arundel, West Sussex, UK.**

This is a wonderful opportunity for a Speech & Language Therapist to join our schools team, with the ability to work with & support students. The post will offer the opportunity to work directly with young people that experience dyspraxia, dyslexia & other communication difficulties. Our client is a very successful KS2-4 SEND School with particular strength in meeting the diverse needs of challenging students. You will report to the Schools Deputy Head/SENCo.

**NHS Equivalent College Salary Scale**:
**Band 5 £25,655 to £31,365 pending experience (34 weeks a year)**:
You will be a proven therapist with the skills & theory to undertake sessions & manage caseload of students. You will be expected to maintain and further develop a high level of clinical expertise, as well as run individual & group sessions, act as the SaLT representative at multi-disciplinary meetings, plan & implement training & ensure the provision of most appropriate speech & language therapy for all students.

**Speech & Language Therapist - Start September - Arundel, West Sussex, UK.
The main responsibilities of this role are:

- To be responsible for the delivery of speech and language therapy services including assessment, diagnosis and therapy.
- To provide specialist intervention.
- To provide specialist therapy services utilising a variety of service delivery models including individual, joint, multidisciplinary, group and staff directed sessions.
- To use specialist knowledge of standardised assessment and other assessment tools in combination with advanced reasoning skills to record baseline measures and/or differential diagnoses.
- To develop and implement speech and language programs for individuals and groups using expertise to create innovative and effective ways of working where appropriate to maximise individual students’ potentials.
- To provide speech and language targets for integration into the educational curriculum as part of each student’s IEP in consultation with parents, teachers and other multidisciplinary staff.
- To attend and participate / lead (where appropriate) in regular team meetings.
- To regularly monitor and review the students’ ongoing communication needs.
- To liaise closely with all staff to support implementation of appropriate communication strategies.
- To provide reports to contribute to the students annual review.
- To maintain records of intervention according to professional standards.
- To maintain professional status and competence at a specialist level, taking responsibility for keeping own knowledge and skills up to date by engaging in continuing professional development and maintaining a portfolio of CPD.
