Aircraft Mechanic

**JOB PURPOSE**:
To assist the Ground Engineer / Duty Engineer with the technical handling of aircrafts on a station. Responsible for performing non-technical activities on the aircraft and assisting the Ground/Duty Engineers with technical tasks under their supervision.
**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**On time arrival and departure service**:
- Performs non-technical handling activities and tasks for example servicing engines with oil/refueling of aircraft, inflating tyres, general assistance, headset departures.
- Assists the Ground/Duty Engineer to carry out repairs on aircraft (in case of technical activities under supervision of a Ground Engineer/Duty Engineer), complaint with the technical requirements and customer demands
- Reports technical irregularities and progress of work performed to Ground/Duty Engineer or Maintenance Manager
- Assists the Ground/Duty Engineer with aircraft inspections
- Assists the Ground/Duty Engineer with analysing defects and complaints (trouble shooting)
**Status of equipment, tools, stores and overall station activities**:
- Performs minor repairs and cleaning activities on tools and equipment
- Assists on keeping the store and station tidy and compliant with the rules and regulations
- Assists in station related activities
**KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED**:
- Basic technical aircraft training
- Command of English
- Knowledge of apron/aircraft safety rules and regulations
- Knowledge of technical requirements and customer demands
- Knowledge of non-technical handling procedures and instructions
