**Job summary**:
Immigration Enforcement is responsible for enforcing the government’s immigration laws, tackling illegal migration, removing foreign national offenders and immigration offenders from the UK. It also aims to disrupt the organised criminal groups that exploit the vulnerable for their personal gain. Learn more on the Immigration Enforcement careers page.

Interventions Sanctions and Compliance (ISC) sits within Immigration Enforcement and is responsible for implementing a wide range of measures to make it systematically harder for people to illegally enter or remain in the UK. Some of these measures derive from the Immigration Act 2014 & 2016 (‘the Act’) and are now embedded as business as usual.

Measures derived from the Act are only part of the work that ISC is progressing. It is working with existing partners and establishing new partnerships in the public and private sector to increase the range of interventions and sanctions to make it harder for people to live in the UK illegally.

ISC is acting to ensure that partners have enough robust systems and processes in place to protect benefits and services from immigration abuse and increase compliance with the rules. ISC has embedded systematic, reciprocal data sharing arrangements with partners in Government and the private sector. This has empowered these departments to make informed decisions on who should be granted benefits and services.

This role sits within the No Recourse Public Funds Team (NRPF) and will involve working with Local Authority partners via NRPF Connect, a secure web-based data sharing platform.

You will be required to attend a Home Office workplace on an average of 40% of your working hours.

**Job description**:
**Responsibilities**
- Line managing responsibility for Administrative Officers.
- Imputing results of immigration status checks onto NRPF Connect for new cases referred by local authority subscribers and within SLAs.
- Responding to follow up queries for case updates received via NRPF Connect by LA subscribers and within SLAs.
- Liaising closely with other Home Office units; including ICE Teams, Intelligence and Removals Casework Teams - to clarify, update and progress individual cases.
- Ensuring that all information shared is GDPR compliant and as agreed within the Information Sharing Protocol.
- Being part of a team roster to be weekly workflow officer.
- Referring complex cases to a Higher Executive Officer.
- Assisting the team with data quality and assurance checking.
- Assisting and responding to urgent requests received from Senior Executive Officer Partnership Leads.

**Essential Criteria**
- An ability to build and establish positive relationships with internal/external partners
- Good IT skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- High levels of concentration, accuracy, and an eye for detail.
- Flexibility, be organised and able to balance a range of demands whilst delivering under pressure and at pace.
- Good interpersonal skills and an ability to work well within a team.
- Ability and flexibility to respond to ebbs and flows in work within the team.

**Desirable Criteria**
- Ideally, but not necessarily, be experienced in using Home Office systems (such as Atlas/CID, CRS).
- Taking personal responsibility to maintain and update knowledge of changes across immigration.
