The Lancashire Teaching Agency part of Reed Education is currently working with various schools across the East of Lancashire to recruit a number of cover supervisors for ad hoc and short-term day to day cover.

The role of a cover supervisor is a varied one and no two days are the same but in short, your main duties and responsibilities will be:

- Delivering pre set work left by the class teacher across the KS3 and KS4 national curriculum
- Assisting the pupils whenever possible with any questions they may have
- Managing the school behaviour in line with school policy
- Ensuring the children are made to feel safe and supported in line with the school’s ethos
- Collecting worksheets and/or textbooks at the end of the lesson and leaving them in the designated place.
- Ensuing the classroom is kept neat and tidy and is left as it was found
- Assisting in a variety of departments and working with teaching assistants.
- Monitoring safeguarding at all times and reporting any concerns.
- Ensuing heath and safety is maintained and followed.
