We have a full-time vacancy for an experienced receptionist/ Care Coordinator at the
Grange Medical Centre, with strong IT skills.
Job summary: to be part of a friendly team to welcome, process and effectively signpost patients to the appropriate healthcare professional depending on the presenting condition. To be responsible for undertaking a wide range of secretarial and administrative duties and the provision of administrative support to the multidisciplinary team. Strong IT skills and able to learn and manage care pathways.
- Maintain and monitor the practice appointment system
- Process personal, telephone and e-requests for appointments
- Answer incoming phone calls, transferring calls or dealing with the callers’ request appropriately
- Signpost patients to the correct service
- Initiating contact with and responding to, requests from patients, team members and external agencies,
- Clinically code data on SystmOne
- Process referrals in a timely manner (via ERS), liaising with multidisciplinary team members and external agencies
- Data entry of new and temporary registrations and relevant patient information as required
- Input data into patients’ healthcare records as necessary
- Taking minutes for practice meetings and keep registers up to date
- Direct requests for information, i.e., SAR, insurance/solicitors’ letters and DVLA forms to the administrative team
- Manage all queries as necessary in an efficient manner
- Carry out system searches as requested
- Maintain a clean, tidy, effective working area at all times
- Support all clinical staff with general and secretarial tasks as requested
- Support administrative staff, providing cover during staff absences
- Scan patient related documentation and attach scanned documents to patients’ healthcare records
- Complete opening and closing procedures in accordance with the duty rota
- As required support the clinicians in the management of repeat prescriptions, ensuring they are processed accurately and efficiently
- Order and monitor stationery supplies
- Reviewing records and accurately producing a summary of the patient’s medical history

**Job Type**: Full time.

**Salary**: £10.20-£11.00 per hour
