Warehouse & Transport Supervisor

Uber Recruit are working in partnership with our client, a world leader in their field, who have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Warehouse/ Logistics Supervisor.

Based with their Regional Distribution Centre in Dumfries, the position will be to Supervise the workload of both the Warehouse and Transport teams, to ensure a safe and effective operation.

**Responsibilities will include**:

- **Warehouse** - Supervising 2 Warehouse Operatives, order picking, stock control, goods in and out, together with Health and Safety.
- **Transport** - Supervising 9 Drivers and a fleet of 8 HGV vehicles, transport planning and vehicle utilisation, ensuring legal compliance, cover for Transport Manager where required.

**Essential Experience required**:

- Proven experience within a similar position - running a small fleet of HGV vehicles and drivers including route planning, drivers hours, maintenance and record keeping to ensure legal compliance.
- Warehouse & stock control - basic understanding of goods in/out. Record keeping.
- Supervising or managing people.
- You will hold a Transport Manager Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)

**Skills required**:

- IT skills - Excel, Outlook
- Ability to support, motivate and coach staff to maximise individual and team performance
- Ability to use initiative and maximise resources to source effective solutions
- Ability to work to set targets and deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

**Desirable**:

- FLT License
- Health and Safety qualification, (IOSH working or managing safely)

**This is a permanent position, with working hours 8.00am-4.30pm, Monday-Friday.**
