Senior Coordinator- Higher Needs Floating Support

Second Step is a leading mental health charity in the South West offering housing, support and hope to thousands of people with mental health and other support needs. Our goal is to inspire hope and deliver change for everybody and every community we work with.
- The Higher Needs Floating Support Service is a newly commissioned service working with people in temporary accommodation or at risk of homelessness across a variety of settings. The team work closely with the local authority, health, treatment and specialist support providers to improve outcomes and work towards more settled accommodation for those facing multiple disadvantage
- The post-holder will support the day-to-day delivery of the main floating support service and the development of the AFEO (Accommodation for Ex Offenders) service ensuring the provision of user-led, trauma informed, high quality, effective and comprehensive support to clients.
- Duties include:

- Providing day to day leadership and support to your direct reports
- Maintaining an oversight of support and safety and inclusion planning and delivery
- Managing the waiting list and coordinating allcoations.
- Ensuring regular supervisions and effective case management
- Promoting effective team working and communication across the service and with partner agencies.
- Contributing to service development workstreams and improvements, particularly around embedding a psychological, adversity and trauma informed approach
- Attending and facilitating meetings with clients, Second Step staff and external partner agencies.
- Reporting on KPIs and supporting the Team Manager with end month/other reports, providing updates as required.
- Ideally, you will have a minimum of two years’ experience of working with people with complex needs. Experience and understanding of working with people with multiple/complex needs, homelessness, mental health or drug/alcohol dependency is essential. Previous line management or supervisory experience is an advantage but not essential.
