Domestic Abuse Support Advisor

To provide a pro-active service to victims of domestic abuse to keep them safe. The post holder will work pro-actively within a multi-agency setting (including MARAC) to develop comprehensive safety and support plans to help keep victims safe. Key to the success of this role is the use of advocacy and partnership working skills to ensure victims are supported to access services to which they are entitled.
**Key responsibilities**:
- Support clients through the referral pathway from crisis to recovery.
- Ensure clients feel supported, listened to and believed.
- Act as a nominated case manager and point of contact for clients and their families.
- Support safety planning, monitor risk (including escalation to IDVA and safeguarding concerns).
- Broker recovery support packages (recovery programs, therapy, peer support, onward referral and access to surgeries across CIOS)
- Provide continuity of support to all clients.
- Maintain accurate and confidential electronic case management records.
- Conduct regular reviews of risk and needs, and use a trauma informed approach to keeping clients and their families safe
**Essential requirements**:
- Driving licence and access to a vehicle
