**Senior Welder/ Instructor**

Our client a leading company based in Dungannon are in search of a **Senior Welder/ Instructor **to join their experienced team. Our client specialises in the manufacturing of high-quality metal for retail, commercial and private sectors.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Training manual welders
- Ensure all team members comply with training plans defined and are competent to carry out tasks assigned.
- Monitor employee performance
- Preparing products for the next stage of the production process ensuring they are clean & free from any excess weld / splatter / grease
- Become familiar with and champion company operating procedures to the production team to ensure quality product.
- Continuous upskilling and development
- Weld checks, first off checks
- Internal audits
- Weld destruction tests
- Weld defect reductions & quality improvements
- Manual weld, semi-automated welding machines improvements and efficiencies
- Welding batches as and when needed
- Any other duties, within reason & capability, as determined by team leader
- Minimum of 2 years of welding instruction experience or equivalent 5 years recent welding experience (preferably MIG)
- Ability to accurately read & interpret AutoCAD drawings
- Must have a strong background in manufacturing, ideally within a similar environment and be familiar with related quality processes and standards.
- Strong employee relations skills.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Strong analytical and process skills.
- Experience within lean manufacturing environment.
- Strong numeracy and literacy skills
- Strong IT proficiency including MRP/ERP systems
- Understanding of H & S legislation

**What you need to do now**

**INDHP**

**Salary**: £15.00-£17.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

- Bonus scheme

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Dungannon, County Tyrone: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Fabrication: 1 year (preferred)

Work Location: In person
