Senior Welder/ Instructor

Our client a leading company based in Dungannon are in search of a
Senior Welder/ Instructor to join their experienced team.

Our client specialises in the manufacturing of high-quality metal for retail, commercial and private sectors.

Main Responsibilities:

• Training manual welders
• Ensure all team members comply with training plans defined and are competent to carry out tasks assigned.
• Monitor employee performance
• Preparing products for the next stage of the production process ensuring they are clean & free from any excess weld / splatter / grease
• Become familiar with and champion company operating procedures to the production team to ensure quality product.
• Continuous upskilling and development
• Weld checks, first off checks
• Internal audits
• Weld destruction tests
• Weld defect reductions & quality improvements
• Manual weld, semiautomated welding machines improvements and efficiencies
• Welding batches as and when needed
• Any other duties, within reason & capability, as determined by team leader
• Minimum of 2 years of welding instruction experience or equivalent 5 years recent welding experience (preferably MIG)
• Ability to accurately read & interpret AutoCAD drawings
• Must have a strong background in manufacturing, ideally within a similar environment and be familiar with related quality processes and standards.
• Strong employee relations skills.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Strong analytical and process skills.
• Experience within lean manufacturing environment.
• Strong numeracy and literacy skills
• Strong IT proficiency including MRP/ERP systems
• Understanding of H & S legislation

£15.00-£17.00 per hour
