Headway Birmingham & Solihull is a Brain Injury Charity. Our Acquired Brain Injury Service is designed to give brain injured people the opportunity to re-learn lost skills as well as prevent any further deteriorating or isolation.

This can be done by learning coping strategies, modifying inappropriate behavior, acquiring new skills and interests, meeting with other brain injured people, understanding their brain injury, improving self confidence and accessing community activities.

Description

Headway Birmingham & Solihull is looking to appoint a support worker of NVQ Level 2 Health & Social Care Standard to work at our centres 20 hours per week. We require a confident and friendly individual to:

- To aid the safety, well being, development and personal comfort of clients attending the

centre.
- To assist in, and cover activity sessions both onsite and offsite as required
- Have responsibility for attending to client’s personal care needs
- Carry out assigned domestic chores throughout the day
- Assisting individuals with all meal time requirements

Previous experience of working with people with disabilities and knowledge of brain injury is desirable.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 4 - 35 per week

**Salary**: £9.80-£10.62 per hour
