**Temp - Purchase Ledger Clerk**

We're looking for a temporary Purchase Ledger Clerk to help support our Finance team on a short term basis for up to 3-months

In the role you will ensure all accounting and financial information needed for the business is produced accurately in a timely manner and to agreed procedures. You will also be responsible for the processing of the Purchase Ledger and cash book.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Responsible for the administration of the Purchase Ledger
- Ensure all invoices are checked against purchase orders, Good’s Received Notes’ (GRN’s), and authorised for payment
- Process payments, cheques & BACS, on a fortnightly basis
- Maintain good supplier relations, by providing excellent and timely response to queries
- Maintain PIR register when invoices are received
- Liaise with Sales Ledger to ensure all contra’s between the ledgers are posted on a timely basis
- Perform purchase ledger period end to agreed deadlines
- Oversee the Company expenses and Barclaycard process and ensure expenses are paid on a timely basis
- Reconcile the bank accounts, including foreign currency accounts e.g., Euros on a monthly basis
- To deal with foreign currency requests. Reconcile on a monthly basis and generate journal
- Match all stock invoices to the matched deliveries function on the intranet
- Update costings where invoices differ from the order
- Responsible for the administration of the computerised cash book
- Reconcile supplier statements to Opera and identify / obtain missing invoices / credit notes and investigate any differences as required.
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience within a Purchase Ledger role, ideally within the manufacturing industry
- Intermediate Excel experience
- Confident in communicating with customers and colleagues
- Happy to be flexible and adaptable
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite

**Job Types**: Temporary contract, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 3 months

**Salary**: Up to £24,600.00 per year
