**About the role**:
Vision for Education are working together with this school in the Sunderland area to recruit a patient and dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant. Throughout the role of a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will be working with and supporting children and young people who have complex needs with their school work, making sure engagement is maintained. Part of the role may also be to to get involved with break and lunch time supervision as well as escorting the pupils out of school at the end of the day, making sure they are picked up by their named carer. This is a full time/long term role, meaning the appointed Behaviour Support Assistant will be working Monday to Friday between the hours of 08:30 to 16:30.

This SEND school, located in Sunderland supports children and young people between the age of 12 to 19 who have complex needs such as Challenging Behaviours, Autism, Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and Social and Emotional Mental Health (SEMH).

**Requirements**:
To be considered for the role of Behaviour Support Assistant you will:

- Must have enhanced DBS registered on the update service/ be willing to go through the DBS process if do not already hold certificate
- Must have experience working with SEND pupils
- Must be able to work as a team as well as individually
- Must be kind, caring and compassionate
