**Standby Rota - Monday to Sunday**

**Location - Teesside, Teesdale, North Yorkshire**

**About the role**

We have an amazing opportunity to join Northumbrian Water and work within our Water Networks team as a Customer Distribution Operative in the Teesside, Teesdale and the North Yorkshire Area. You may know these roles as Ganger, Utilities Operative, or Civils Worker. You’ll be delivering our vision and supplying a clean, clear, and reliable supply of drinking water to customers in our local communities and delivering an unrivalled customer experience to help deliver the success in our business vision to be National Leader within the Water industry, and to providing world class service and our essential-for-life product, Water

We’ll be providing you with the opportunity and support to learn and develop skills which will enable you to carry out work on our water supply network. This role will be varied and could involve the installation, repair, and maintenance of our underground pipework and assets, ensuring clean and tidy sites for our customers.

You’ll be working in a way which provides outstanding service to our customers, communities and protects the local environment, along with taking responsibility for your actions and behaviour while always demonstrating the company values. We’re looking for you to demonstrate flexibility, including active participation in a standby rota and additional initiatives to achieve better performance.

As these are new roles, we will be providing you with full training, coaching and support so we’re not looking for you to have any proven experience in this line of work.

Instead, we are looking for you to bring your passion and enthusiasm to make a difference to our customers and the ability to engage and communicate with people, along with being inquisitive, with potential to learn and develop. You’ll also be resilient, and results driven.

We’re looking for you to be inclusive, respectful and considerate, along with being able to challenge in a confident and constructive way and be able to receive feedback positively. You’ll enjoy working outdoors in the fresh air on practical tasks, along with being able to interpret and follow instructions, both written and verbal.

A full valid UK class B driving licence is **essential **for this role.
