The Innovation team is responsible for creating new value for Aztec Clients and the Group itself, through the innovation of existing business areas and the development of new ideas into profitable opportunities.

Aztec Group has experienced high growth and is looking to further accelerate its ambitious 5 year Strategy to expand the business on a truly Global scale.

You will have experience in developing new, innovative products and services through user involvement and a strong end-to-end business understanding.

As part of a dynamic and fast-paced Innovation team, the Senior Innovation Manager role spans from ideation all the way through to product launch as well as participating in group evaluations of team initiatives. Having experience of IP generation and protection, structural partnership formations and commercial collaborations is highly desirable.

**Key responsibilities**:
In this role, you will grow and develop a pipeline of unique innovative products & services and generate new revenue streams.

This includes systematically identifying, evaluating and delivering new opportunities with Product teams across the Aztec Group, working closely with our technology organisation, marketing, legal, compliance, and client facing teams.
- Independently source problem statements and generate a pipeline of new ideas
- The commercialisation of innovations with high impact potential from ideation through to Go to Market execution
- Product development for data centric digital products capable of providing insight to clients
- Develop technology commercialisation plans, including early-stage commercialisation strategies, value proposition validation, and business case development.
- Identify & develop relationships with potential technology partners and support marketing activities to generate interest in new propositions
- Independently initiate and negotiate commercial agreements with vendors, partners and clients
- In collaboration with other Innovation team members, prepare business plans and develop and execute implementation plans for new capabilities
- Identify and Evaluate disruptive technologies and contextualise their use and value for the existing business
- Evaluate new innovations and business opportunities for commercial potential, including conducting market research and analysis
- Develop project plans and execute evidence-generating activities that build innovation value and advance innovation projects toward commercialisation
- Conduct and support problem definition and solution development with innovators and craft the associated value proposition development and business modelling
- Mentor and assist innovators with solution experiments, product prototyping and validation testing.
- Provide project management as needed, including recommending and executing metrics and reporting on key achievements.
- Prepare and present funding requests to the Executive board
- Grow an Industry network of like-minded people who can unlock future opportunities
- Network externally and attend events to build links with external organisations, industry partners and collaborators

**Skills, knowledge, expertise**:

- Experience working in an incubator/startup/Innovation environment within a medium to large global organisation, preferably in Financial Services
- Hands on experience of designing and developing data centric digital products and monetising with clients
- Experience in testing new propositions; you master agile, design thinking and lean techniques for user involvement throughout the development processes
- Highly developed collaboration and engagement techniques, able to motivate and communicate to "sell the dream" of new ideas.
- Good project management and change management skills, combined with a "can-do" attitude and the drive to follow-through on ideas
- A phenomenal teammate who can naturally shift between supporting, leading and guiding depending on the situation and who is also used to working independently
- Experience in innovation scouting and ideally in an Innovation team/hub/lab/function
- Hands on experience of designing and developing data centric digital products and monetising with clients
- Highly developed inter-personal skills with demonstrated ability to identify & develop relationships with potential technology partners, colleagues, collaborators and clients
- Significant experience of evaluating and developing plans to commercialise technology centric opportunities
- Management of the process for negotiating commercial agreements from start to close
- Comfortable producing financial modelling for business casing and funding requests
- Legal or contractual experience with clear understanding of licenses &/or collaboration agreements
- Experienced in growth and innovation, with strong examples of growing businesses by building and delivering innovative propositions
