**All About the Role**
Based at our C Roberts Steel Services Site in Rotherham, we have vacancies for General Steels Operatives on our rotating shift pattern, the hours as follows:

- Days: Monday to Friday 06:00 to 14:00.

Nights: Monday to Thursday 21:00 to 06:00 Friday 19:00 to 03:00

Afternoons: Monday to Thursday 13:00 to 21:00 Friday 12:00 to 20:00

The purpose of these roles is to ensure customers’ orders are fulfilled to the highest standards in a fast-paced environment. Specific tasks could include:

- Pick computer generated orders with repetitive handling/lifting of heavy and large item
- Accurately record stock movement and usage, along with product identification and use of measuring equipment.
- Work efficiently and effectively as part of a team and on your own.
- Operate saws and handle steel
- Transferring stock to its location using a Forklift trucks, side loaders and cranes.
- Assisting in the overall production and dispatch of customers’ orders.
- Maintain high levels of Health and Safety.
- Be adaptable and flexible in approach to work to meet operational requirements.

- Be mechanically minded
- Have a flexible attitude, be results oriented, and enjoy working in a team environment
- Ideally have operated Cranes, Fork-Lift and Side-loader, however this is not essential
- Health & Safety awareness
