**Who we need**
We are seeking to appoint a Communication Support Worker to work with the Deaf Access Team at Nottingham College at a variety of college sites.
This position requires excellent communication skills to facilitate and develop good working relationships with tutors, the wider Additional Learning Support Team and other college staff.
**What you’ll bring**
- Both direct and indirect, for D/deaf students with a variety of communication support needs, primarily in the learning environment, which includes evening classes.
- Provide support for D/deaf students during activities outside the classroom.
- Undertake appropriate training and staff development including continual professional development in respect of British Sign Language skills, electronic notetaking, language modification, interpreting into English.
- Observe all college policies / procedures / working practices / regulations and in particular to comply with the college’s Equality and Diversity Policy, Health and Safety Policy, Financial Regulations, Safeguarding Policy and the Code of Conduct.
