Working closely with the Team Manager, the Deputy Manager will required to support the Manager with the day to day leadership across two supporting living services in Nottingham for adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs and challengingbehaviours.

**Vacancy details for Deputy Manager**:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Manager to work closely with the Team Manager for the service. As well as being hands on support to individuals in the service, you will be released from shift to carry out the Deputy Manager role for 2-3 shiftsper week to support the leadership of the service under the guidance of the Team Manager.

As a Deputy Manager, you will provide clear and structured day to day leadership, management and support to the local team in order to ensure the highest quality service is delivered.

**Previous experience in the learning disability /mental health sector is essential.**

**Your core day to day responsibilities will include**:

- Provide leadership and guidance to the team
- Support with rota planning
- Risk assessments / safeguarding / support plans
- Assist in the recruitment and induction of new staff
- Assist the manager with team meetings
- Assist with management reviews, supervisions, 1:1s etc
- Highlight attendance and conduct issues to the Team Manager
- Cover in the absence of the Team Manager
- Reviews, spot checks in the community
- If required; in the absence of the Manager, attend meetings for new packages of care.

The role requires a level of flexibility with regards to working hours to meet the needs of the business. On-call is expected, which is on a rota basis and split between other Managers across Nottingham.

Ideally, you will hold NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) or be working to towards this qualification.
