A successful business based near West Hampstead train station are recruiting for a Deputy Head of Finance. The business is keen on bringing on board someone ambitious with the aim of offering internal growth and development to progress the successful individualup through the business.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, this opportunity lets someone step into a number 2 role in the day-to-day management of a Management Accounting and Transactional finance team. You will be involved in preparing and reviewing Management Accounts, StatutoryAccounts, Budgeting and Forecasting, Commercial Analysis and helping drive efficiency across the finance department.

Deputy Head of Finance responsibilities:

- Provide support in the preparation, development and delivery of UK Accounts & Forecasts
- Cash management, including monthly Group cash flow preparation and key
payments
- Providing meaningful variance analysis and insightful comments for key stakeholders
- Group VAT returns
- Continually look for improvements within existing processes and drive required improvements
- Help manage the internal and external audit process for the business
- Working with the Head of Finance, offering day-to-day guidance and support to the finance team and assisting with annual appraisals as required
- Help develop new financial performance reporting/analysis as required by Directors or other Managers to aid decision making
- Preparing financial information for external stakeholders such as banks and
insurance brokers
Key competencies:

- ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified
- Strong Management & Financial Accounting experience
- Exposure to managing a team or training junior members
- Track record of working in a fast-paced environment
- Prioritising conflicting tasks and responsibilities
