Creative Behavioural Solutions is a specialist Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) and Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) based consultancy. We provide consultation and support to families and social care providers who support people with Autism and complex behavioural needs.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and active person to support two different young men with a diagnosis of autism.

**Experience supporting individuals with disabilities is preferred however, full training would be provided.**

**A full, clean UK driving license is a huge bonus.**

ABA/PBS Support Worker

Description

We offer training and support to give you the confidence and skills necessary to help make a significant positive difference to the lives of young people. You will be fully supervised. The main hours are **Monday to Friday 9-5pm based out of Islington or Harrow (North London)**.

**Duties**:
To assist in the design and implementation of person centred programs utilising Applied Behaviour Analysis and Positive Behaviour Support best practice

Effectively support the learner in activities in and out of the home

Maintain good relationships with client’s family

To monitor and take accurate data daily per service users targets

To support individuals during times of crisis - e.g., challenging behaviour.

To ensure all programme materials are organised and accessible

Attend and participate in review meetings and to attend mandatory trainings

To promote safeguarding and wellbeing for service user to the highest standard

To implement positive handling as required

Flexibility to support service user during evenings and weekends if required

Other duties as required by your manager

Person Specification

Satisfactory enhanced DBS check and references.

Experience as a current or recently practising ABA tutor or similar field

Strengths in parental partnership and development

Evidence of a demonstrable commitment to continuing professional development in ABA practice and theory, and working with children with Autism

Experience of working with children and adults with Special Education Needs

Qualifications, Experience and Training

1 year of applied experience working with special needs population

Experience of managing challenging behaviour

Experience of supporting individuals (children and young people) with complex behavioural needs

Preferred qualifications:
Undergraduate Degree in Psychology, Counselling, Social Work, or related field

2 years of applied experience working with special needs population

Experience utilising ABA methodology

**Clean driving license**

**Skills**:
Demonstrate highly developed interpersonal skills - able to talk effectively to children, parents, external professionals and colleagues

Able to liaise effectively with agencies, build good working relationships and rapport with colleagues

Pay: £16,664.00-£25,392.00 per year
