**Who we are**

Hatching Dragons is one of the UK’s leading bilingual early years educational brands, having built its reputation around Chinese and English immersion for which we have received 99% positive reviews from our community on daynurseries.co.uk. Our aim is to become the defacto bilingual early years immersion provider across the UK and so have Spanish French, Arabic and more languages in our pipeline for future schools developments. We're also launching new childcare services in language enriched weekend schools, holiday camps and after school clubs in the communities we serve, along with home based educators and tutors to service childcare needs in the home environment.

**Why now?**

Our Schools are rapidly growing and we're in need of strong Nursery Assistants who are fluent in mandarin to help deliver our Mandarin Curriculum.This is an entry level role but applicants will need to have experience working with children,you will work alongside the floor team to deliver high quality, bilingual early years educational environment for the families we serve. Your job will be to take lead practice in early years education in specific programmes: Chinese numeracy; Chinese literacy & language (story time etc); Chinese music & song and to always maintain all interactions with children in chinese.

Principle responsibilities include:

- ** Child Welfare & Safeguarding**:

- ensuring all children are safe, cared for an all aspects of their needs met as per our safeguarding and health and safety policies.
- **Early years education**:

- We want people who are excited by education, passionate about children and can prove that their knowledge is more than just the 7 areas of learning.
- **Training & CPD** - we provide you with access to some of the best online EYFS CPD level 2 training programmes and are a certified training provider under NCFE-CACHE to train and accredit you.
- **Team Attitude** - this is a team role, working with colleagues to ensure that the nursery delivers the best possible practice. It requires communication, support, encouragement, a commitment to one another as well as to the children we care for.

**What Skills You'll Need**:

- Must have experience working with children,
- Good organisational, record keeping and planning skills
- Excellent communication skills, with children, colleagues, advisors and parents/carers
- A good understanding of the EYFS
- Maintaining child records and providing feedback to parents/carers and colleagues
- A positive approach to learning and gaining new skills through teamwork and training opportunities
- The ability to model, motivate and support staff
- Problem-solving skills
- Basic IT skills

**Experience**
- Experience of caring for, or working with children aged 6 months-2 years old.
- Mandarin Speaker
- Good knowledge of Ofsted requirements for the provision of safe care to children
- Knowledge of health & safety requirements for the environment
- Knowledge of safeguarding
- Experience of working in a small team, supporting colleagues with peer on peer observations.
- A commitment to the provision of high-quality childcare.
- Being able to deliver a tough message in a fair way
- Supporting nursery marketing events experience

**Safeguarding
