Cornerstone, part of Penguin Random House, is looking for a digitally-focussed Marketing Executive/Senior Marketing Executive to support our Marketing team, primarily working across one of our biggest brand authors - James Patterson - as well as titles and activity across the wider division.

**About Cornerstone**

This role will be primarily responsible for working across James Patterson books, with scope to take on other campaigns across our imprints.

**The Opportunity**

Reporting into the Senior Marketing Manager, you’ll work within the wider Marketing team with a focus on our digital advertising campaigns, our direct-to-consumer channels, and James Patterson’s publishing. You’ll help take these books to the audiences, working closely with the author, his team and our U.S. counterparts.

You can expect to be:

- Working closely with editors, publicity, sales and international teams to deliver engaging and joined-up marketing activity
- Supporting the Senior Marketing Manager on major multi-platform campaigns for James Patterson and his overall brand
- Leading on digital advertising campaigns for James Patterson
- Running social channels and engaging with online communities through newsletter strategy, digital marketing and advertising
- Working on multiple campaigns or projects at any one time, all with different lead times, budgets and schedules
- Implementing digital marketing campaigns to drive online sales, with a particular focus on ebooks

**What you’ll bring**

You don’t need to have worked in publishing before or have experience marketing books. What’s important to us is that you have a desire to work with franchises that have mass-market audiences and appeal. Perhaps you’ve worked with entertainment brands, or in TV or film; whatever your marketing background, we need to trust that you can speak to the James Patterson audience and have a clear passion for digital and performance marketing. You may be a Marketing Assistant or Executive looking for your next step up within publishing or be a marketeer looking for a new challenge within books.

We’ll want to know that you have had experience getting involved with social channels and engaging with communities online. Importantly too, you’ll have had experience supporting on campaigns, being organised with deadlines, budgets and communicating with various internal and external stakeholders. You’ll also be comfortable utilising and analysing data.

Of course, you’ll be heavily involved in the world of James Patterson in this position, so we’ll need you to be curious and proactive in your approach to learning as much as possible if you were to be successful.

**What you can expect from us**

**Salary**: We are open to hiring either at Marketing Executive or Senior Marketing Executive. An offer will be made dependent on how your skills and experience align with the role, plus bonus and benefits.

Marketing Executive: £29,500 - £34,500

Senior Marketing Executive: £30,500 - £38,500
