**THE COMPANY**:
We're exclusively recruiting on behalf of a leading global business that has a track record of working on high profile projects with some of the world's most recognised customers.
As a Project Estimator, you'll process live orders from clients, ensure the order matches the CAD Drawings, seek out cost efficiencies in the project through amendments to the design, creating a component order list and then liaising with suppliers to purchaseparts required to complete the order. You'll be responsible for ensuring the order progresses through the manufacturing process on time and within budget through to completion.
This is an exciting opportunity for an in individual who has come from a trades background wihtin the construction or engineering space who is keen to enter an office environment.
**THE PROJECT ESTIMATOR ROLE**:
- Working closely with the Sales, CAD Design and Manufacturing facility to ensure orders progress on time and within budget
- Taking a client order including CAD / technical drawings and inputting all information into the ERP
- Checking over the order to ensure it has been accurately collated and calculated
- Liaising with colleagues, clients and suppliers to coordinate the different elements required to complete the project
- Purchasing the relevant materials and equipment to complete the project
- Reviewing the CAD drawings and proposal to identify areas of improvement or cost saving
- Handling queries from customers, making amendments to orders and providing updates
- Build strong relationships with customers, ensuring they are kept up to date with the progress of all projects
- Coordinating large orders and managing manufacturing processes
- Work to tight deadlines and manage several projects simultaneously
**THE PERSON**:
- Previous experience within a similar role or someone who comes from a trades background within an Construction or Engineering environment.
- Ability to understand technical / CAD drawings (or able to be taught)
- Confident to manage a busy workload
- Able to work to tight deadlines and prioritise
- Excellent communication skills
